Frequently Asked QuestionsAbout Environmental Certification (ISO 14001)

Can an enterprise without a pollutant discharge permit apply for certification?
It depends on the industry. Industries subject to pollutant discharge permit management shall obtain a pollutant discharge permit or complete registration in accordance with the law; industries not subject to such management need to confirm that no mandatory requirements apply. We will assist in verifying compliance status during the preliminary assessment stage.
Does environmental certification help with exports?
Yes. ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized environmental management language that can meet overseas customers' audit requirements for supplier environmental management and also help address green trade barriers.
Will the certification audit uncover environmental penalties? How are they handled?
The audit will verify compliance status. Minor issues require completion of rectification and verification; if there are unresolved major violation records, rectification must be completed before certification can be arranged.
